Who We Are

We are a diverse Native American, American Indian, and Alaska Native grass-roots organization with deep connections in Hawaii. OIC is the legacy of local Kanaka 'Oiwi and military Native Americans from Turtle Island.

Driven by our desire to preserve diverse indigenous traditions, family histories, and community relationships, we serve local residents through cultural and educational engagement. Our work in Hawaii over the last 40 years includes educational outreach, cultural exchanges, and an annual powwow event.

We strive to honor our host relatives and preserve our cultural traditions by stewarding community relationships with mutual respect and reciprocity.
